A manufacturer of high-quality cheeses was collecting large amounts of information throughout receiving, production, shipping, and sales. However, those at one end of the process lacked prompt, quantitative information about the other end. K2 implemented a near real-time reporting system that uses current sales data to assist in production planning and sales analysis. One source of data, various .csv files, were brought into the system via SQL Server Integration Services.

A major plywood manufacturer collected production counts from the plant floor utilizing Wonderware's InSQL Server Historian product, as well as Quality data on finished product. What they needed were reports to show how each shift was performing based on quantity and quality. K2 developed and installed a system that did just that, including automated reports sitting in decision-makers in-box every morning.
